The Subtle Rudder Summermix ‘08
I put this mix together last month for my sweetie, but I keep playing it and playing it and playing it, so I thought I’d share it with the larger crowd. It’s a bit of a brag (I got the chop!) and a lot of the pelvic, with a pretty beginning, a propulsive middle, and a pearlescent finish.
Basically, it gets me up and keeps me moving, and it’s been party-tested, dogwalk-tested, god-there’s-a-lot-of-weeds-tested, and dance-around-my-bedroom-tested. Enjoy!

How did you come across Lykke Li? I ran into quite a bit of Scandinavian music through a friend’s mix, and have been addicted to Norweigian and Swedish artists for about a year now. Check out “Well Equipped” up on the Summer Mix Series page for a small sample of some scattered throughout.
BTW, good mix. It’s a on frequent rotation.

Not sure exactly where I found that track. You know how it goes, you get up in the morning, give the internet a good shake and all sorts of random goodness falls out. I really like how much is going on in and around the song : all the scratchy rhythms and homemade sounds. It all seemed to fit with the rest of the mix (but then, my first, middle, and last names are all “Eclectic”).
